Group admin is the one function of enterprise edition, which is also the
characteristic function of MindV mind map. It will meet the needs of the
following scenarios: group purchasing; self-management of group members;
grant access right to each group folder; the most important thing is
that the same mindmap can be edited and modified by many people within
the group at the same time, which is also the advantage of cloud mind
mapping.
Through the menu "Cooperate ->Group Admin", group administrators can
open the window below:
The first "Members" tab item is used to manage group members. You can
add members or delete members.
>
In the picture above, if the group manager's mailbox is "chang@yahoo.com.cn",
and the group name is "microsoft". "microsoft" group will have a group
folder which will be shared with all it's members.
Group administrator can add new members. In the "UserName" textbox, enter
the user login name (unique for the whole website), and in the "Email"
textbox, enter the mailbox address of the members (unique for the whole
website), and then click "Add" button. If the member is already a
registered user of MindV, the above action only adds the user to the
group. If the member is a new registered user of MindV, the above
operation creates a MindV account and adds the user to the group.
Group administrator can also delete users,it simply kicks members out
of the group.
Select the user in the members list and click "Delete" button, the user
will no longer belong to the group members. All the user's files under
the group folder will be transferred to the group administrator, and all
the files under the group folders will not be accessed by this user in
the future. However, as a MindV user, the files of his/her own private
and public folders remain unchanged and can still be accessed.
If the member is a newly created mindv account, the initial login
password is the group administrator's mailbox. You can notify them by
sending invitations. Click the "Send invitations" button:

In the member list in the window above, select the members to be
notified, modify the content of the message, and finally click "Send" to
send the invitation letter to the members.
The second "Subfolders" tab item is used to grant/revoke the group
folder access rights to group members.
In the previous tab item, when members join the group, by default,
they have no access to any group folder (the members can see the
folders, but they can't access files, or save new files to any group
folder).
To grant access right: first, you need to select any group folder, and
then select one or more members, check the "R-Read", "M-Modify",
"D-Delete" checkbox, and click the "grant" button, the selected members
will get the corresponding permissions of a group folder and its
subfolders.
Scenario 1, Simple Authorization: Select the group root folder and
grant same privileges to all the members.
Scenario 2, Department Authorization: Under the root group folder,
create one folder for each department; then for each department folder,
grant access right to all the members of this department.
Scenario 3: High and low privilege: Create a common directory and a
high privilege directory under the group root folder or department
folder. Then grant all members or department members with the same
access rights to the common directory, and grant group administrator or
department manager access rights to the the high privileged directory.
>
In the picture above , choose members in the list , change the
contents of the message, and click "Send" to send a letter of invitation
to the selected members.
As a group member , when he/she opens the map browser, he will have a
new folder. For example the group name is "microsoft", the "microsoft
folder " will be the group's public folder. All group members can save
files to this folder, or create their own subfolders under it.
